Federal Way Co-op Preschool is a welcoming community of diverse families coming together to provide a safe learning environment for children. Through a play-based philosophy, we nurture creativity and educational growth and encourage a positive social atmosphere.

Our Program

Our major focus is to give children experiences in early childhood that will help them gain skills and understand concepts when they are ready. We believe in facilitating learning by offering an
environment designed to support free choice and active learning.

At Federal Way Co-op Preschool, children are hands-on learners. Different levels of ability and rates of development are expected. Our program fosters respect for diversity by modeling respectful behavior. We encourage belonging through social skills.

There are both organized and child-initiated activities, and all activities are teacher-supported. The children learn through individual and small group exploration. Art, music and movement are integrated throughout the curriculum, and we enjoy outdoor play. The classroom is a place where children feel safe, valued and secure. Each child's unique talents and gifts are discovered, encouraged and celebrated.
